Sue left Edinburgh University where she studied an MA Hons in Fine Art and Architecture in 1982. She then started a silk screen business designing and hand Printing hosiery and other garments supplying Green peace and Friends of the Earth as well as retailers, Libertys, Harvey Nicolls and the British museum shop. She exhibited at the British Designer show twice a year which led to exporting hosiery worldwide. In 1994 Sue became the clerk of works for Hope House a detached family home in Molesey which was designed by Bill and built in 1995. It was the first experimental ‘ZED’project and continues to act as a testing station for renewable technologies. The ZEDfactory office was established there in 1999 till 2002 when it moved to BedZED. Bill and Sue Dunster Co-founded ZEDfactory in 1999, where Sue is still a Director and the Office manager.
